Disadvantages

  1. High Failure Rate (Red Ring of Death). The Red Ring of Death is when your console lights up red around the power button indicating a hardware failure.

  2. Pay per month to use Xbox Live. Every month, if a gamer wishes to continue his Xbox Live account then he must pay a fee every month to Microsoft.

  3. Can not play Blu-Ray movies. Many movies today are avaliable on Blu-Ray, which stores 6 times more data than a DVD.

Advantages

  1. Money! The Xbox 360 is cheaper than the PS3 and therefore more avaliable to people who don't have the extra hundred dollars to pay for a PS3.

  2. More online players than the PS3. Even though Xbox Live costs money every month, there are way more people who have Xbox Live Accounts than Playstation Network Accounts. Overall, the online gaming experience is way better than that of the PS3.

  3. More of a game library than PS3. There is more of a selection of games than there is with Sony's PS3.
